We engage in international operations to improve mental wellbeing and prosperity through art. We help to create opportunities for participation to improve inclusion.
Taiteen Sulattamo is an art and mental health association that exists to increase prosperity through art. The association was founded by professional artists and mental health recoverers in 2013.
Taiteen Sulattamo is a member organization of Gamian Europe, Global Alliance of Mental Illness Advocacy Network since 2019. Taiteen Sulattamo ry takes actively part on the Gamian’s activities. We have a current reputation on the board.
Sulattamo welcomes innovative experimental operations to work towards learning from each others.
Otamme osaa kansainväliseen toimintaan edistääksemme mielen hyvinvointia taiteen keinoin. Kansainvälisen toiminnan tarkoitus on luoda monimuotoisia mahdollisuuksia osallisuudelle ja vahvistaa yhteisöllisen toiminnan kautta tasa-arvoa ja kehittää uusia toiminta muotoja.
Taiteen Sulattamo on taide- ja mielenterveysyhdistys, jonka tavoitteena on lisätä hyvinvointia taiteen avulla. Yhdistyksen perustivat ammattitaiteilijat ja mielenterveystoipujat vuonna 2013.
Taiteen Sulattamo on ollut vuodesta 2019 lähtien GAMIAN Europe -verkoston jäsen. Yhdistys osallistuu aktiivisesti verkoston toimintaan, ja sillä on edustus sen hallituksessa.
Sulattamo toivottaa tervetulleiksi innovatiiviset ja kokeilevat toimintamuodot sekä yhdessä oppimisen.
Current operations
Art for Mental Health Erasmus+ 2026
The project Art for Mental Health – Cross-border recovery through art aims to empower young people aged 18–30 with lived experience of mental health challenges. By combining participatory art, peer-based methods and mindfulness, the project creates safe spaces for expression, dialogue and intercultural exchange. It develops a transferable workshop model, youth-led creative outputs and an online exhibition, reducing stigma and strengthening inclusive youth work in Finland and Slovakia.
THEATRUM ANIMI Creative Europe 2026-2028
Together with our partners we are building a European platform of sharing knowledge and a collaborative approaches for theatre and mental health.
